Two local seniors receive FC Bank business scholarships

Two local high school seniors are among those named to receive FC Bank Continuing Business Education Scholarships. FC Bank President Andy Dale has announced that Wynford senior Thomas Smith and Bucyrus Senior Samuel Van Voorhis will received those scholarships.

SmithMr. Smith is the son of Tom and Valerie Smith. Thomas will be graduating as co-valedictorian and also serves as the vice president of the Wynford branch’s National Honor Society. He participated in the school’s football, swim, and track teams, as well as the theatre department’s spring musicals. In the fall he plans to attend Bowling Green State University and major in Actuarial Science.

 

 

 

Van VoorhisMr. Van Voorhis is the son of Brad and Amy Van Voorhis. Sam is a member of his school’s cross country, track and field, and basketball teams. He also was involved with the National Honor Society, DECA, Quiz Team, and Science Club. In the fall he plans to attend The Ohio State University and major in Business Administration.

FCBank is committed to the communities and businesses it serves, and is a proud supporter of the next generation of business leaders. In February, graduating high school seniors were invited to apply for the annual scholarship contest, which awarded each recipient with $500 to be used for continuing business education.
