MANSFIELD – Richland Academy of the Arts has recently completed the installation of needlepoint bipolar ionization units throughout their facility to upgrade indoor air quality and fight the spread of COVID-19. This high-tech HVAC tool has also been installed in renowned places like The White House, Harvard University, and Mayo Clinic.

“The safety of our valued students, parents, faculty, and staff is our paramount priority,” says Marianne Cooper, Executive Director of Richland Academy of the Arts. “We consider this project to be a great step forward in providing a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our community.”

The HVAC ionization units work to safely clean indoor air by destroying volatile organic compounds and pathogens in the air, including COVID-19, bacteria, mold, and other viruses. This system is ozone compliant and can kill 99.4% of the virus within 30 minutes.

Richland Academy has also invested in a new disinfectant sprayer, where surfaces throughout the building are disinfected with the same disinfectant solution used in hospitals. Richland Academy extends a warm thanks to MG Energy and the Ohio Arts Council for making these projects possible.
