Ohio State Highway Patrol and Mansfield Police conduct OVI checkpoint on Trimble Road

MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio State Highway Patrol and Mansfield Police Department conducted an OVI checkpoint on Trimble Road, north of Wyandotte Avenue, on September 7, 2024, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

During the checkpoint, 256 vehicles traveled through the area. One vehicle was diverted for further investigation and subsequently released. Saturation efforts in the vicinity resulted in 35 traffic stops, leading to two OVI arrests, including one felony OVI arrest.

The checkpoint was a coordinated effort between the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Mansfield Police Department, and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
