CRESTLINE—There is a new face at the Crestline Village Hall as a new village administrator was named by Mayor Linda Horning Pitt last Monday.

The Crestline Village Council approved the appointment of Corey Spackey to the position to the position later last Monday and Spackey got to work first thing in the morning on Jan. 19.

Spackey, who currently lives in Logan, Ohio, with his family, will be relocating to Crestline.

“I like the community and the people here. It is the right size of a community for us,” he said.

Spackey has worked in the insurance industry and held the position of village administrator in Bremen, Ohio, for nearly two years and attended the College of Mount St. Joseph.

Spackey said he has no plans to make changes to the goals the village administration already had in place when he arrived.

“We will continue working on the sewer project, which is the most critical to get completed, and the water line project will continue as planned,” said Spackey.

He said he is also focused on economic development for the village.

“We are in a great area of the state and I want us to stay ahead of others in promoting our area as a place for business and industry to locate, bringing jobs to the community,” said Spackey.
