BUCYRUS—Only one month after a local store celebrated its first anniversary in Bucyrus, it is closing.

The Bucyrus Label Shopper store, located in the East Pointe Shopping Center, will be closing at the end of the business day on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Manager Stacy Kragh Uhl said she and her staff have not been given a direct reason for the permanent closure of the store from their corporate office even though they have asked for an explanation.

“We honestly have no idea. We haven’t been given a direct reason from anyone even though we’ve asked them. If it was up to us we wouldn’t be closing at all. We love our customers and love what this store has done for our community so all of us are really sad to see it go,” said Uhl. “We just want to thank all of our patrons for their support over this past year and we will miss seeing your smiling faces walking through our doors.”

Uhl has said previously that the store is a firsthand, non-irregular, name brand clothing store that sells items at a deeply discounted price.

“There are men’s, junior’s, misses, and plus size clothing and sleepwear. We also carry shoes, jewelry purses, and accessories, such as scarves, ties, belts and hats.”

Keyholder Danielle Rebon has enjoyed her year working at the store.

“Working within and for our community has been an honor and privilege for me. I have enjoyed seeing and helping people that I haven’t seen for years and hope that those relationships will continue after our doors are closed,” said Rebon. “Thank you to everyone who believed in our store and because of that, kept coming back time and time again. I will miss shopping with each and every one of you!”

The store is open regular hours through Wednesday. It is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.
