GALION— A new full-service grocery store will be coming soon to Galion. Buehler’s Fresh Foods will be opening in the Galion West Shopping Center.

The local, independent, employee-owned grocery store plans to open in late October and occupy the 21,700-square foot space at the intersection of State Route 19 in the heart of Galion’s retail corridor.

The Galion store marks the 14th for Buehler’s in Ohio and will add 70 more employees.

Paran Management Company manages the property and negotiated the lease with Buehler’s. Paran’s Chairman and CEO, Joseph Shafran, says,” Having Buehler’s Fresh Foods at Galion West is ideal for the health of the community and will provide a boost for everyone, including existing businesses at the center. I’m especially pleased that shopping for fresh foods will be easier.”

Job fairs will take place at the Depot Pavilion in Galion on Thursday, September 16, and Friday, September 24, from 11 AM to 7 PM. Buehler’s is an ESOP (employee-owned stock plan) company and has earned the “Great Place to Work Certification” badge.
