Monday, July 1, 2019

1:49 a.m.-A report of a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of North East Street was a person playing a Harry Potter game.

6:46 a.m.-A possible overdose was investigated in the 400 block of Portland Way North. One person was issued a court date on an Ontario warrant.

11:45 a.m.-Richard C. Wiggins Jr., 26, was issued a court date on a warrant in the 1100 block of Dawsett Avenue.

12:32 p.m.-A worker at the Rainbow Motel found a kit full of needles and other paraphernalia and turned it over to officers.

1:21 p.m.-A report of an assault in the 400 block of Libby Lane was investigated.

2:10 p.m.-A syringe that was found in the Fairview Avenue area was turned over to police.

2:09 p.m.-A report of kids refusing to leave the Heise Park Pool after being temporarily banned was investigated.

2:24 p.m.-A report of possible fraud was investigated in the 800 block of Harding Way East.

5:09 p.m.-A non-injury accident was investigated in the 800 block of Harding Way East. Terry Croyle was issued a citation for failure to yield.

7:31 p.m.-A report of kids picking a neighbor’s flowers while yelling was investigated in the 200 block of Gill Avenue.

7:47 p.m.-A report of a group of people loitering in front of Circle K was investigated.

8:02 p.m.-A male was arrested after a report of a robbery was made in the 600 block of South Market Street.

8:11 p.m.-A welfare check was conducted on a child in the 100 block of West Walnut Street. Everything was fine.

8:13 p.m.-A report of three little girls knocking on doors and telling residents to have a nice day was investigated in the 100 block of Sherman Street.

8:33 p.m.-A South Columbus Street reported her dogs being threatened by a man.

10:42 p.m.-An Ohio 309 resident reported being harassed by someone they know.

3:24 a.m.-Officers spoke with a group of juveniles about curfew violations at Heise Park. They were released to an adult.

12:04 p.m.-Tammy K. Blackford, 42, Galion, was arrested on a Wyandot County warrant in the 200 block of North Columbus Street and held for Wyandot County authorities.

2 p.m.-Officers assisted EMS personnel in the 900 block of Charles Street.

5:14 p.m.-A First Avenue resident reported someone tried to break into their residence.

7:27 p.m.-A report of a neighborhood dispute was investigated in the 600 block of South Union Street. The parties involved were issued warnings for disorderly conduct.

8 p.m.-A report of people in a vehicle selling drugs in the South Street area was investigated.

9:29 p.m.-A motorist was issued a citation for failure to yield in the 200 block of Portland Way North.

2 a.m.-One person was arrested in the 100 block of West Railroad Street.

2:54 a.m.-Dakota L. Elerick was issued a citation for expired tags in the East Church Street area.

5:40 a.m.-A report of a suspicious person was investigated in the South Boston Street area.

6:08 a.m.-Thomas E. Castro Jr. was issued a citation for failure to control a vehicle on Portland Way North.

7 a.m.-Christopher K. Gimbel was issued a citation for speeding in the 800 block of South Boston Street.

7:44 a.m.-A Libby Lane resident reported someone trespassing on their property and making threats.

1:14 p.m.-A person was arrested at Municipal Court East on a warrant.

1:36 p.m.-A Harding Way East resident reported being scammed out of a large sum of money.

2:17 p.m.-Brandon B. Brown was issued a citation for speeding in the 800 block of South Boston Street.

3:35 p.m.-Officers assisted the Crawford County Dog Warden in the 300 block of South Washington Street with two injuries cats and a dog.

5:17 p.m.-A non-injury accident involving a man in a truck that hit a stop sign was investigated in the 7700 block of Ohio 309.

6 p.m.-A report of juveniles throwing firecrackers at people in the 1000 block of Harding Way East was investigated.

6:20 p.m.-A report of a suspicious man in the 400 block of Grant Street was investigated.

8:27 p.m.-A report of juveniles smoking on the playground at Galion Primary School was investigated. Officers were unable to locate them.

8:58 p.m.-Jonathan L. Clark, 28, Mount Gilead, was arrested on a warrant in the 400 block of Libby Lane. He was issued a court date and two other people were issued warnings for obstruction of justice.

9:23 p.m.-Ricky Simmons was issued a citation for fictitious tags and violation of permit laws in the 200 block of Gelsanliter Road. The vehicle he was driving was towed from the scene by Hensley Towing.

9:58 p.m.-A disturbance was investigated in the 400 block of Harding Way West.

11:25 p.m.-An East Railroad Street resident reported being threatened by someone they know.

2:58 a.m.-Daniel L. Sexton, 49, Coshocton, was arrested on a Marion County warrant during a traffic stop on Portland Way South.

5:40 a.m.-Officers delivered a message for the Delaware Police Department to a resident in the 300 block of Second Avenue.

8:40 a.m.-A report of a drunk person in the 700 block of Fairview Avenue was investigated. He was released to sober individuals.

9:45 a.m.-A breaking and entering of a South Pierce Street residence was investigated.

10:39 a.m.-A hit-skip accident that damaged a company truck was investigated at Ohio Door and Sash.

11:15 a.m.-A North Riblet Street reported a strange man on their porch sleeping. Zachary K. Morgan, 23, Galion, was for disorderly conduct and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held until sober.

1:17 p.m.-A Nazor Road resident reported gasoline stolen from two vehicles.

5:22 p.m.-A sex offense was reported and investigated.

8:43 p.m.-A report of a missing or runaway juvenile from the 900 block of Harding Way East was investigated.

9:06 p.m.-A report of fireworks being set off in the Sherry Lane area.

9:10 p.m.-Officers assisted EMS personnel in the 300 block of Sixth Avenue.

10:48 p.m.-A report of a suicidal person in the 600 block of South Market Street was investigated and the person was taken to the hospital.

10:50 p.m.-A report of fireworks in the South Market Street area was investigated.

11:58 p.m.-A report of fireworks in the 500 block of Park Avenue was investigated.

12:14 a.m.-Two juveniles were warned for curfew violations and released to an adult in the Coby Park area.

12:20 a.m.-A woman was issued a verbal warning for setting off fireworks in the South Boston Street area.

1:48 a.m.-A breaking and entering was investigated in the 100 block of South Pierce Street.

1:49 a.m.-A report of a missing or runaway juvenile from the 600 block of Brookside Avenue was investigated.

1:17 p.m.-A hit-skip accident was investigated in the 400 block of Libby Lane.

4:29 p.m.-A report of loud music coming from a vehicle in the 200 block of East Church Street was investigated.

5:48 p.m.-Jimmie D. Ratliff, 57, Galion, was arrested on a Marion County warrant in the 300 block of Tidd Drive. A vehicle was towed from the scene by Zeger’s Towing.

6:06 p.m.-Roderick D. K. Phillips, 35, Galion, was arrested on a warrant in the 500 block of First Avenue.

7:25 p.m.-Xavier Brady was arrested on a warrant in the 400 block of Libby Lane.

7:31 p.m.-Two males were issued warnings for jay-walking in the Public Square area.

9:31 p.m.-A South Street resident was advised by officers to stop setting off fireworks.

10:27 p.m.-A report that a man in a red truck hit a stop sign in the 800 block of Harding Way East was investigated. Raymond A. Touponce, 25, Mount Gilead, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence.

10:32 p.m.-A report of a fight in the 600 block of Harding Way East was investigated. Two people were issued warnings for disorderly conduct and another person was arrested on a warrant.

11:02 p.m.-Devyn D. L. Long, 19, Galion, was arrested for underage consumption and disorderly conduct by intoxication.

1:32 a.m.-Officers assisted EMS personnel with an unresponsive person that had fallen and hit their head.

2:21 a.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 600 block of Grand Street. The parties involved were separated for the night.

4:24 a.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 200 block of Grove Avenue.

4:22 p.m.-A phone found at Heise Park was turned over to police.

8:13 p.m.-A North Market Street resident reported an unwanted person was at their house.

9:16 p.m.-A report of fireworks was investigated in the 700 block of Maple Heights.

11:05 p.m.-William H. Baugh, 40, Willard, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence in the 1300 block of Harding Way East.

11:59 p.m.-Officers assisted the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office in the 900 block of South Market Street.

1:17 a.m.-Thomas E. Snider Jr., 33, Galion, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in the 600 block of Harding Way East.

1:19 a.m.-An Easton Way resident reported someone using their vehicle without their permission.

1:34 a.m.-A report of a suspicious person at Amann’s Reservoir was investigated. The person was hunting frogs.

4:15 a.m.-Officers conducted a standby in the 100 block of Easton Way.

6 a.m.-An open 911 line was checked by officers in the 300 block of Grove Avenue.

10:08 a.m.-A breaking and entering of a residence in the 900 block of Harding Way East was investigated.

2:46 p.m.-A report of two juveniles fighting at Heise Park was investigated. They were separated.

5:48 p.m.-Terry A. Harsh was issued a citation for failure to yield in the 700 block of Harding Way West.

9:12 p.m.-A disturbance was investigated in the 300 block of Grove Avenue. A man was issued a warning for disorderly conduct.

9:29 p.m.-A resident came to the station to report their vehicle was not returned to them.

9:54 p.m.-A Harding Way West resident reported that someone smeared food on their vehicle.

11:13 p.m.-A South Columbus Street resident reported being threatened by their neighbors.

11:25 p.m.-A bicycle found in the 200 block of Eighth Avenue was turned over to officers.

12:21 a.m.-A report of an unruly juvenile was investigated in the 800 block of Harding Way East.

12:27 a.m.-A standby was conducted in the 500 block of South Boston Street.

10:10 a.m.-A parking complaint was investigated in the East Church area and the vehicle was towed by Fairprice.

10:27 a.m.-A report of fraud involving a resident’s debit card was investigated in the 100 block of North Columbus Street.

11:35 a.m.-Joshua J. Shelton was issued a citation for driving under suspension in the 400 block of West Railroad Street.

12:31 p.m.-Employees of the city street department turned over a bag of pills found in the Heise Park area to officers.

1:23 p.m.-A wallet found in the North Union Street area was turned over to officers.

3:29 p.m.-A hit-skip accident and dispute over the accident were investigated in the 600 block of Hollywood Drive.

4:04 p.m.-A Galion resident reported receiving harassing and obscene text messages from an automated number.

5 p.m.-An Easton Way resident reported kids throwing things at his vehicle.

7:10 p.m.-A phone found at Heise Park was turned over to officers.

7:22 p.m.-A report of an unruly juvenile was investigated in the 800 block of Harding Way East.

9:01 p.m.-A dispute between kids was investigated in the 300 block of South Washington Street.
