BELLEVUE – Twice a year, Firelands Federal Credit Union (Firelands FCU) offers qualified members the opportunity to “skip” a monthly loan payment through our Skip-A-Pay program. For every payment that is skipped, Firelands FCU donates $5 to a local organization in need.

This year, as a result of our Winter Skip-A-Pay offer, we are pleased to announce that Firelands FCU will distribute a total donation of $3,000 to area churches and food banks to help provide meals and self-care items for our local community.

Donations have been made to the following organizations by their respective Firelands FCU branch:

  • Bellevue – Fish n’ Loaves
  • Bucyrus – New Day Ministries Food Bank
  • Galion – Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission
  • Monroeville – Non-Food Bank, United Church of Christ
  • Norwalk – Norwalk Area Food Bank
  • Sandusky – Victory Temple Soup Kitchen

“As your local credit union, we remain dedicated to stepping up and helping our community whenever possible,” said Brett Montague, Firelands FCU’s President/CEO. “The organizations we have chosen to donate to provide such an essential service to our area year-round, and especially in times of great need. We thank them and our members for their contributions.”For more information regarding meal distributions, please contact the organizations listed.
