Documents reveal new details on former YMCA building purchase

BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—After a protracted conflict involving the Bucyrus City Council, Council President Kurt Fankhauser, Mayor Bruce Truka, and concerned citizens, it was initially believed that all ties between the city and the former YMCA building had been severed. However, new evidence obtained by Crawford County Now suggests otherwise.

According to the documentation received, the former YMCA building has recently been acquired by Green Plate, LLC. The articles of organization for the LLC, which were filed with the Ohio Secretary of State, bear the signature of Bucyrus Mayor Bruce Truka.

The LLC is represented by attorney Robert Dintaman, who serves as the Statutory Agent for Green Plate. The official mailing address for the LLC is listed as Dintaman’s office located in Lakewood, Ohio.

Crawford County Now has attempted to contact Mayor Truka for further comment but has yet to receive a response. Interim Law Director Brandon Gobrech responded, “To my knowledge, the City is no longer involved in any YMCA purchase agreement at this time.”

As this story continues to develop, Crawford County Now will provide ongoing coverage.
