Crawford County Sheriff’s Office arrests local man on child pornography charges

BLOOMVILLE, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant and arrested a local man on child pornography charges on January 29, 2024.

At 2:48 p.m., deputies arrived at 4298 State Route 103 in Bloomville, acting on information received from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC). The information led to the issuance of a search warrant for the residence.

During the search, several electronic devices were seized. Dustin Edward Allen Swartz, 27, was taken into custody on charges of pandering obscenity involving a minor. He was subsequently transported to the Crawford County Justice Center.

Upon examination, child pornography was discovered on the seized devices. The evidence will be forwarded to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of additional charges.

Sheriff Scott Kent and Detective Tyler Winkelman urge citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Sheriff’s Office at 419-562-7906.
