NORTH ROBINSON—On Monday evening, a small group of family, former assistant coaches, and former players joined together at Colonel Crawford to honor the memory and profound legacy of Coach Ryan Teglovic.

The bus loop headed back to the football stadium where Coach Teg went 93-53 over 14 seasons, making him the winningest football coach in Colonel Crawford’s history, and could be found spending countless hours, developing students not only as players but as people as well, has been dedicated as Ryan Teglovic Drive.

“Ryan touched so many lives—students, staff, the community as a whole, and surrounding communities. He gave us a message to live right, and he did it—people saw him walk it every day and that’s what made him different than a lot of people—kids saw him live what he talked about every day, and I think that’s why kids gravitated to him in such large numbers,” Superintendent Todd Martin said.

About the time Coach Teg passed last year, a group of individuals at the school was talking about doing something where people could remember him and reflect on how he has touched so many lives. This idea came up, and it was after the first anniversary, so they decided to make it happen.

“We have a trauma team that really got put together last year before Ryan passed, and it’s a group of people who kind of sit and throw ideas on how to heal kids, how to heal our adults, how to heal our community – it was kind of a group effort,” Martin said.

Community members are free to go visit Ryan Teglovic Drive and reflect upon the man he was and the memories they shared with him.
