Thursday, February 21, 2019

8:50 a.m.-An abandoned bike was picked up in the area of Taco Bell.

9:28 a.m.-Officers spoke with Children’s Services personnel at the station regarding a prior case.

10:15 a.m.-Officers assisted the Crawford County Garage with an escort.

1:10 p.m.-Officers investigated a report of an assault in the 900 block of West Perry Street.

1:12 p.m.-Officers investigated a juvenile complaint in the 900 block of West Perry Street.

1:13 p.m.-Officers investigated a separate juvenile complaint.

1:49 p.m.-Officers spoke to a woman at the police department regarding domestic issues.

2:13 p.m.-Bucyrus Officers, assisted by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a search warrant in the 200 block of Schaber Street. The investigation led to the seizure of a decent amount of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and illicit prescription pills. One person was arrested February 21 and two other people were arrested as an outcome of the search warrant.

2:29 p.m.-Officers checked a parking complaint in the 800 block of East Rensselaer Street and the owner moved the vehicle.

2:48 p.m.-A resident in the 100 block of Wallace Avenue reported damage to his yard from a Century Link vehicle.

3:54 p.m.-A loud music complaint was investigated in the area of Oakwood East Avenue and South Walnut Street.

5:04 p.m.-A report of a semi driving erratically on Sandusky Avenue was investigated.

5:09 p.m.-Numerous scam-attempt complaints concerning phone calls to seniors. Multiple Bucyrus residents reported receiving a scam phone call claiming to be from AEP giving seniors discounted utilities. After checking with AEP, it was confirmed that this was a scam to get personal billing and bank account information.

5:46 p.m.-A verbal traffic warning was issued to two people in the area of Plymouth and East Irving Streets who were riding their four-wheelers on other people’s property.

7:22 p.m.-Officers responded to Bucyrus Community Hospital for a disorderly patient.  A man had received Narcan from friends and was dropped off at the hospital and was threatening nurses. The man dropped a dose of suspected heroin on the ground while receiving treatment. Rex Beecham, 55, was arrested on a probation violation. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.

7:00 p.m.-The department received two calls about a person going to doors panhandling for gas money. A person said they needed help their wallet was taken and they were going to run out of gas. One of the people had a prior report of asking for money for a child’s surgery. Please report incidents like this to the police department.

7:57 p.m.-A traffic citation was issued in the area of North Lane and Clinton Streets.

9:04 p.m.-An employee of ODOT reported damage to their yard on Crossroads Boulevard when a semi drove through it.

10:39 p.m.-A report of a suspicious person in the 400 block of West Mansfield Street was a stumbling pedestrian.

12:59 a.m.-A noise complaint in the 300 block of Wiley Street was investigated and a person was conducting renovation and notified to quiet the work.

1:59 a.m.-A report of loud music in the 700 block of East Rensselaer Street was checked and all was quiet.

5:03 a.m.-An alarm in the 800 block of Hopley Avenue was investigated and it was a false alarm.

7:05 a.m.-A resident in the 900 block of Maple Street reported an attempted theft of a vehicle and the battery taken from the vehicle.

7:24 a.m.-A resident in 500 block of Ridge Avenue reported the theft of a 2013 black Ford Edge with Ohio license plate GWU4802. The keys were in the vehicle.
