BUCYRUS―The Bucyrus VFW Post 1078 is gearing up for their much-anticipated annual event dedicated to honoring our esteemed veterans.

Mark your calendars for the “Remembering Our Heroes Luncheon,” scheduled for Saturday, August 19th, commencing at noon in the post annex building. This heartfelt occasion warmly welcomes veterans, their families, and the public to join in paying tribute to the brave individuals who served our country. As a token of appreciation, all veterans will be treated to a complimentary meal, while family members and the public can indulge in the Food House’s delectable offerings available for purchase. The event will also feature exciting door prizes, adding to the festive spirit.

To ensure everyone’s comfort and enjoyment, ample tent seating will be provided, offering shade and a relaxed atmosphere throughout the event.

Lori Starner, the dedicated Auxiliary President, revealed that the funds raised during the Beer Garden event over the Bratwurst Festival weekend are devoted to supporting veterans in Crawford County. The financial assistance goes towards essential needs, such as cost of living expenses, medication, car repairs, the construction of wheelchair ramps, and other special requirements for our county’s veterans.

For those eager to contribute to this significant recognition event, opportunities abound to become a sponsor at any level or to volunteer. If interested, kindly reach out to Lori Starner at 419-689-1003.

Let’s join hands in commemorating our heroes and expressing our gratitude to those who have selflessly served our nation. Your participation and support will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our beloved veterans.
