The Board of Education for the Galion City School District met on Thursday and gave new contracts to two administrators.
Following the Board’s executive session, it awarded a three-year contract to Middle School Principal Andy Johnson and a two-year contract to Athletics Director Jim Ruth. The Board also hired Randy Endsley Sr. as a high school guidance counselor. Endsley is the father of current Crestline boys basketball coach Randy Endsley.
Superintendent Dr. Kathy Jenney recommended the Board create administrative positions for a Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Federal Programs; and a Director of Operations to oversee the athletics director, food service manager, transportation director, and buildings supervisor.
The school district would eliminate the position of assistant superintendent under Jenney’s proposal.
