Group Asks Latta For Help In Fight Against Wind Turbines

Ohio Congressman Bob Latta spent Friday afternoon in Bucyrus after doing battle in Washington, D.C., on the budget and health care reform. A group of Crawford county citizens used Latta’s visit as an opportunity to seek his help in their fight against wind turbines and Black Fork Wind Farms.

Remlinger Road resident Cathy Price says the group is opposed to the wind farm project on several levels including damage to roads they have to drive on, fire and emergency services issues. Jim Davis says the Bowling Green Republican indicated he would have to work with state representatives and get more information from the siting board. Davis says a big part of the problem are arbitrary government requirements regarding renewable energy as well as questionable information being put forth by wind farm companies and advocates.

Latta was in Bucyrus from 1 to 4 and talked to area constituents regarding issues important to them.
